ROUND LOCK WITH KEEPER
J$12,173.91
A security locking device that keeps the shutter firmly closed and locked when you want it secured.
What it physically does
It’s a cylindrical (round) lock mechanism mounted on the bottom rail or frame of a roller shutter.
When you turn the key, the lock’s bolt (pin) slides out and engages with a keeper (a reinforced bracket or receptacle).
This prevents the shutter from being lifted or forced open from the outside. Essentially it locks the shutter in place.
What the “keeper” part is
The keeper is the fixed part attached to the shutter frame or guide that receives the lock’s bolt.
It gives the lock something solid to hook into, making the shutter extremely difficult to open without the correct key. Essentially, it’s the “anchor point” for the lock’s bolt.
